Orchids
Many people complain that they’re hard to take care of, but in truth, it’s not that hard. Plus, it’s worth it! With thousands (literally) of species, there’s something to please everyone. From crisp white, to spotted, they’re all beautiful in some way, not to mention fragrant.
At one point in time (19th century) several species of Orchids were almost extinct because everyone wanted them. A single Orchid couldĀ be sold for thousands of dollars, so only the rich could really afford them.
Before that, the Orchid had a powerful meaning in many cultures, from Greek to Chinese. Superstition, myth, and tales all created around this flower. You may ask yourself why, but one look at this flower will answer your questions.
